Dear Friends,
Welcome to St. John the Baptist website. Thanks to Richard Fitts of Razor-Consulting Inc. for using his creativity in designing our “new look.” Also, thanks to Annette Campbell for volunteering to be our webmaster. Please take some time to open all of the links and to browse around to see what we have to offer here at St. John the Baptist.
The school year is quickly coming to an end. I have completed one year as principal. To say that it has been a full year is an understatement. Our school may be small, but we stay active, providing a variety of educational and spiritual opportunities for our students.
We are blessed with dedicated parents and supporters who share their time with us. There are volunteers working in school, coaching our children in athletics, organizing fundraisers, chaperoning/driving on trips, and on and on. What would we do without them!
Registration will be later in the summer. However, if you are thinking about bringing your child or children to our school, please call as soon as possible, 618-937-2017.
We have a new preschool teacher this year. Her name is Carla Spowart, a native of West Frankfort. She will teach Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mornings from 8 to 11 a.m. Children MUST be age 4 by September 1. The maximum number for a class is 10.
I will continue to give you updates throughout this month and the summer.
